collin’s story
Hi, I’m Collin (he/him) and I’m happy you’re here! MA,MFTA
I work with individuals, couples, and those in non-normative dynamics who want to show up more fully in their relationships, creative lives, identities, and emotional worlds. Together, we’ll explore the stories you’ve been living in — and where you may have agency to re-author a story that feels more authentic, honest, and alive. Therapy can be a space for curiosity, compassion, levity, and intentional change. You don’t have to have it all figured out — just be willing to begin.
As an artist myself, I especially enjoy working with creatives, deep thinkers, and people facing existential questions. I help clients navigate anxiety, relationships, trauma, identity, life transitions, and meaning-making. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming, welcome BIPOC clients, and have experience working with a wide range of identities, cultures, beliefs, and lived experiences.
I bring warmth, humor, and presence into the therapy space. Not every moment in session has to be serious, but I do hope it feels sincere. I believe you are the expert of your own life; my role is to help you slow down, reconnect with intention, notice the patterns shaping your experience, and discover choices that align with who you want to be.
As a writer, actor, and filmmaker, I’m drawn to the ways people make meaning through story, creativity, embodiment, and relationship. This background informs how I listen, how I understand identity and self-expression, and why I care deeply about helping people feel more connected to their own voice.
Now for the professional stuff
I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage Couples and Family Therapy from Lewis & Clark College and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting Performance from Virginia Commonwealth University. My work is informed by Narrative, Existential, Experiential, and Structural modalities. I often explore how relationships, family systems, personal history, culture, identity, and larger systems shape the problems people bring to therapy.
In relational work, I hold a non-blaming stance. Rather than locating one person as “the problem,” we’ll look at the patterns, cycles, and meanings between people. I support clients in building emotional awareness, more direct communication, relational safety, and a deeper understanding of both themselves and the people they care about.
I am a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Associate in Oregon R11654
