our commitment

Most clients see a new therapist within two weeks of their screening.

We know that reaching out for support takes courage, and waiting months for a first appointment shouldn't be part of the process. At Sprout, we are committed to getting you connected with the right therapist quickly, because we believe starting should feel like a relief, not another hurdle.

Step 1: Book Your Free Phone Screening Answer a few quick questions about what's bringing you in and provide your insurance information. Takes about five minutes.

Step 2: Talk with Our Intake Coordinator We'll call you for a real conversation. We'll listen to what you need and answer any questions you have.

Step 3: Get Paired with Your Therapist We'll match you with the clinician who's the best fit for you, and you'll attend your first session in about two weeks.

frequently asked questions

Getting Started

What is the free phone screening? The phone screening is a short introductory call with our Intake Coordinator. It's the first step to getting started at Sprout. During the call, we'll talk about what you're looking for, your availability, your insurance, and what kind of support feels right for you. It's a low-pressure conversation to make sure we're a good fit before anything is scheduled.

Please note: the screening is not a therapy session and does not establish care with Sprout Therapy PDX.

How do I book a phone screening? When you request a time for us to call you, you'll fill out a questionnaire and share which insurance you plan to use. Once your appointment is confirmed, we'll send a short survey for you to complete beforehand so we can make the most of your call.

What happens after the screening? Most clients are matched with a therapist during or shortly after their screening. If you have specific preferences, like a particular type of therapy, a provider who takes a certain insurance plan, or other requirements. There may be a wait to find the right match. We'll be upfront with you about timing.

Will I only work with a therapist? Not necessarily. It depends on what's most helpful for you. Some clients work with a therapist or a medication prescriber on their own. Others benefit from a more connected approach, where your therapist collaborates with additional providers like a prescriber, case manager, or peer support specialist. Any additional services are always optional and based on your needs and preferences.
