linnea’s story

A young woman with a red cap, gold hoop earrings, and a gray oversized sweatshirt with red text that says "OCCIDENTAL COLLEGE". She is outdoors in a wooded area with leafless trees.

Hello! My name is Linnea (she/her).  As your therapist, my goal is to understand your unique world and how it shapes you. I see you as the expert of your own life and I strive to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore, reflect, and grow. My approach blends narrative, internal family systems, solution-focused, emotion-focused, and strengths-based frameworks to help you navigate challenges and reach your goals. I’m here to support you on the path toward a more fulfilling life.

I support clients who are experiencing a range of presenting concerns including: anxiety, career uncertainty, depression, grief, identity exploration, loss, perfectionism, and relationship problems (of all kinds!). I love working with college students, third culture kids, and folks navigating challenges in their romantic relationships.

Before working as a therapist, I worked in public health research and as a sexual health educator. I am a trained yoga teacher and pregnancy loss doula.

Now for the professional stuff:

I hold a Master’s degree in Couples and Family Therapy from the University of Oregon, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Occidental College. I am currently a registered associate with the state of Oregon. I gained the majority of my clinical experience in a group practice setting supporting individuals and couples navigating a wide range of issues including infidelity, the impacts of trauma, and communication problems.
