jane’s story
Hi! I’m Jane (she/her).
Starting therapy can be tough—finding the right therapist, staying within budget, and actually carving out the time. But the fact that you’re here means you’re one step closer to finding the right fit. Here’s a little bit about me to help you decide if I might be the one for you:
I’m a cisgender, bisexual woman—a mother, wife, sister, daughter, friend, and yes, a therapist. I became a therapist because I find human relationships, in all their complexity, absolutely fascinating. I’ve spent years trying to understand my own relationships and being the sounding board for friends working through theirs. Why do we do what we do? What influences us? These questions keep me up at night. But more importantly, I want to help you make sense of your own journey and how you impact—and are impacted by—the world around you. We all contribute to a bigger system, and my goal is to help you build the tools to navigate it with more peace and joy.
As an MFT, I work from a systemic perspective, exploring all the pieces that make you, you. We’ll dig into your family tree, your history, your surroundings—everything that’s led you to this point. I use a client-centered, strengths-based approach, combining narrative therapy and emotion-focused techniques to help you explore your story. I’m all about creating a space that’s judgment-free, transparent, and open. I’m gentle but direct, and I believe humor belongs in therapy too. I also welcome feedback—after all, you’re the expert on yourself. Together, we’ll set goals and create interventions that challenge you while meeting you where you are.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me spending time with my family, running, binge-listening to podcasts, enjoying good food, reading, or watching TV when I need to turn off my brain (because let’s face it, we all do!).
The Professional Stuff:
I earned a BS in Human Development and Family Science from Oregon State University, with options in Early Childhood Development and Human Services. After some “figuring it out” years (a.k.a. living abroad and working in corporate jobs that never quite filled the soul), I finally embraced my calling and pursued a career in therapy. I graduated from Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling in 2024 with a degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy, specializing in sexuality.
I’m passionate about working with individuals, couples, and families, and I’m LGBTQIA+ affirming. I’ve worked with eating disorders at the inpatient level and look forward to continuing to support those in recovery. My experience also includes helping clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, OCD, ADHD, and parenting.
I’m a registered Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapist Associate in Oregon, supervised by Katya Ludwig, LCSW.
